Forge K9 was founded to deliver practical, honest and results-driven training for companion and working dogs throughout Perth's northern suburbs.
With more than a decade of experience working within government agencies and extensive involvement in the working dog and sport dog communities, Ben specialises in developing reliable dogs and confident handlers through clear communication, structure, and purpose-driven training.
As a certified Mondioring Decoy and PSA Training Decoy, Ben brings a unique understanding of drive development, dog behaviour, and the timing and precision required to produce successful working teams.

Co-Founder & Trainer
With more than a decade of experience across the pet care industry, Hayley brings extensive knowledge in canine behaviour, health, nutrition, and development. Her passion lies in helping dogs and their handlers build stronger relationships through clear communication, fair training, and purposeful engagement.
Alongside training clients’ dogs, Hayley actively trains and competes with her own dogs across multiple dog sports, earning titles and awards including an MR2 in Mondioring and a PDC in PSA. Competing at a high level has reinforced the importance of consistency, trust, communication, and precision — principles she brings into every training session to help dogs and handlers achieve lasting results both at home and on the field.

Helper dogs
Kenai and Vandal are much more than dogs—they're trusted training partners and an important part of the Forge K9 family. Their calm, confident temperaments make them invaluable in helping other dogs learn how to interact appropriately and feel comfortable around unfamiliar dogs.
Throughout socialisation and reactivity training, they provide safe, controlled experiences that help build confidence, reduce stress, and teach dogs that positive interactions are possible. Every session is carefully managed to suit each dog's individual needs, allowing Vandal and Kenai to demonstrate calm behaviour and help create meaningful, lasting progress.
